Cantorum as a Pipe-Voice Sound Generator |
---|
Since Viscount discontinued their CM-100 several years ago and now the Laural is no longer available, builders are looking for some other means of supplemental sound generation for their pipe organs. The Cantorum portable organ from Viscount will fill the need. |
Viscount Cantorum Uno Plus |
The Cantorum Uno Plus is a one-manual (three division) portable organ, powered by Viscount’s patented Physis Plus technology. It is equipped with 26 organ stops and 7 orchestral voices with built-in amplification that guarantees unique sound quality. Four audio outputs are available to add external amplification.
The Cantorum portable organs have multiple organ configurations therefore you can have one configuration set for when the keyboard is being used for sound generation in the pipe organ, a second so the church can unplug the keyboard from the pipe organ and use it temporarily in the parish hall, or "on-the-road" with the choir. |
---|
- 1, 2, or 3 manual
- White or Ebony keys
- table, pedalboard, shoes etc. sold separately
| | |
---|
Classic Control System Just like the old CM-100, the Classic control system is capable of interfacing with the Cantorum directly. MIDI OUT of the Classic control system goes to MIDI IN of the Cantorum. Drivers for the Cantorum are available for the Legacy CCC-based or new Maestro (Linux-based) pipe organ control systems. |

MIDI Control Unit Alternatively, if you have an older organ which does not have MIDI, you can use the MIDI Control Unit (MCU). The MCU takes +12V active switch inputs for keys, stops, couplers, trems, and sends out MIDI, so a Cantorum Uno/Duo/Trio can be used to add digital stops to a pipe organ. |
