SUMMER EDITION - January/February 2023

AN EXCITING NEW YEAR AHEAD

As we welcome the new year, we hope that the festive season was gentle on our community of bereaved parents and brought a sense of relaxation and refreshment for our supporters and donors. With the sadness of saying goodbye to our much loved counsellor, Dorothy at the end of 2022,  we are now entering this new year of 2023 with anticipation and excitement of what the year will bring for Red Tree Foundation and SIDS and Kids SA.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW COUNSELLOR, DEB LIKOURAS

It is our pleasure to introduce our community of parents and supporters to our new counsellor, Deb!  As most people know, Red Tree Foundation and SIDS and Kids SA is a small team of very passionate staff, from all walks and experiences in life...but a common thread is that of grief and loss.  We are so fortunate to have Deb join our unique team with 21 years of experience in Counselling and Social Work.

Not only is Deb an experienced professional, but she adds an element of peace, calm and knowledge to our team having come to us from the Women's and Children's Hospital where she worked with many bereaved parents.

If you happen to visit the office or see Deb at one of our events, please join us in making her feel welcome to our community.

A NEW YEAR, A  REFRESHED COUNSELLING SPACE!

Providing a warm, safe space for our clients is a priority at Red Tree Foundation so we have attempted to refresh the counselling suite by giving it a face-lift.  Soft lighting, gentle window furnishings, new prints and a colour change is all it takes sometimes to ensure we are offering the safest experience for our bereaved community in their darkest days.
