On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On competition”

On January 21, 2022, the President signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Competition”.

The purpose of the Law "On Competition" is to prevent the monopolization of the market, which will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship.

Recent updates on the Stock Corporation Act in Switzerland

From January 1, 2023, more flexible formation and capital regulations will apply to stock corporations. At its meeting on February 2, 2022, the Swiss Federal Council enacted the corresponding amendments to the Code of Obligations (CO) and the Commercial Registry Ordinance (HRegV). This concludes the extensive revision of the Corporation Act, which is part of the CO. Swiss Parliament adopted the revision of the Stock Corporation Act on June 19, 2020.

The President signed the Law “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On protection of consumer rights”” No.ЗРУ-746 dated January 18, 2022 (the “Law No.ЗРУ-746”).

Law No.ЗРУ-746 introduced the following amendments and additions to the Law “On protection of consumer rights”:

  • the manufacturer (performer, seller) is obliged to provide the consumer with information about itself, the rules of trade and service in the State (Uzbek) language. This information may also be additionally provided in other languages
