On 6 August 2026, the Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) conducted the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to update our members on what the outgoing executive committee had accomplished during its term and to elect the new executive committee for 2026-2028.

As Singapore’s National Day is also reaching soon, the celebration dinner was held after the AGM with the dinner sponsorship of Sedona Hotel Yangon.

We would like to thank all SAM members who joined us, including former SAM Presidents and Exco members, as well as founding members of SAM who joined our AGM in person at Sedona Hotel Yangon. The members in attendance voted in the new executive committee.

"Hope For Myanmar" Earthquake Fundraising Campaign Updates

Rebuilding Toilets for a Primary School in Let Pan Zin Village

In July 2026, SAM partnered with the Mandalay Emergency Response Team (M.E.R.T.), an organization under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Mandalay, to support the rebuilding efforts following the March 2025 earthquake.

Through this partnership, SAM provided funding for the construction of a 4-unit toilet facility at the Primary School in Let Pan Zin Village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, one of the areas affected by the earthquake.

The new toilet facility will benefit approximately 80 students and teachers, providing them with improved access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities.
