Hello Sweet Souls, 

It feels like a good time for a little Fall check-in.

Change is definitely in the air around here. Leaves are turning yellow, I'm about to turn 50 (September 28th, to be exact), and every nook and cranny of my life seems to be getting a major makeover.

If things look a little different around here, it's because I just switched up my newsletter platform. Like I said, every nook. 

I've honestly never had a birthday hit quite like this one. All of a sudden, life feels very in focus, and I'm acutely aware of the finite and precious quality of being alive on planet Earth right now, even with all the crazy. 

As I take stock of all that I've built and become over the past fifty years, I'm a bit in awe of how MUCH I've created. I suppose that's the "creator" in me doing what creators do :-) That said, I feel myself orienting towards refinement, simplicity, pleasure, and a deepening into what matters most in the decade ahead.

I think this may be a fifties thing?? Also, birdwatching...

Dreamy Art Space With Your Besties

One big shift I want to share with you is that my former work-live home in Portland is now available for short-term stays, small retreats, and artist residencies, among other imaginative things.

I built this space in 2016 and hosted many beautiful retreats here before I moved into it during the pandemic. I'm immersed in country life now, but this will forever be my artist dream pad in the city, and I'm planning on hosting some "micro retreats" here soon - stay tuned!

While the space is not set up for big messy painting retreats anymore, it's a perfect spot for a few folks to paint or to host an intimate gathering. I wrote two of my books in this space, so I can also attest to the good writing juju.

Even if you're not working on a creative project (no pressure haha), it's a beautiful space to enjoy with friends or family. 

I also have a lovely Airbnb on the same property (as mentioned, I've been busy building things), so you could rent both spaces and have the run of the place.
