Not to worry - you can hop on the ship from Cape Town to Durban and only need your ID or birth certificate. Make a longer holiday of it and either spend some extra days in Cape Town exploring all the Mother City has to offer before your cruise, or have fun in the sun with beaches, bush and the Drakensberg all at hand from Durbs.
