Carl Richards, the famous "sketch guy" and behavioral finance expert, presents a provocative question for the month of April.

Was there a time when you read something about money in the news, you acted on it, and then, with the benefit of hindsight, you were glad you did?

He asked this question to hundreds of investors around the globe and only got ONE positive feedback!

So,  why are we paying attention to news in the first place?

Could it be because we need or want to stay up to date? Or is it for fun? Or do we have an addiction?

To Carl it is simply a waste of time!

Instead, he suggests that we all use the time we spend reading financial news to work on the list of "important things to do in our life, like to hang out with our kids, learn a new language or how to bake, take an extra shift to pay off credit card debt, etc.

Do you agree with Carl? I would love to hear your opinion :).

Good investing,

Elisabetta
