Wildlife Crossings: Coexistence and Connectivity

Have you seen the wildlife crossing being built over the 101 freeway in Agoura Hills? Curious what that’s for? When it will be finished? Wondering how animals will know how to find and use it? Learn all this and more from our Guest Speaker Beth Pratt at our chapter meeting, August 13th, 7pm.  She will explain why this historic Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is important for wildlife living within our urban area. She will also share next steps on how to coexist more sustainably with wildlife in the future.

So...What's A Chapter Meeting Really Like?

Meetings_crop

We are a diverse group with shared climate related interests. Typically 40-50 community members from all walks of life from high schoolers to retirees join the Zoom chapter meetings. Most live in the San Fernando Valley. Some attend every meeting, others attend based on their availability and interest. You're welcome to participate without your camera "on."

No, you don't have to become a member or have climate experience to attend. We are a big hearted and passionate organization interested in sharing ideas and learning from experts about how to reduce the impact of climate change while understanding the latest technology, policies, causes and impacts. We welcome anyone who wants to engage and learn from our speakers!

Guest speakers are introduced at 7:15pm. Past guest speakers include climate experts, Senators, Assembly Members, City Council Members, environmental advocates to name a few. You get to listen and learn. We end with a Q&A.

It is uplifting! Our meetings enlighten us by showing what we can DO and how to focus our energy to make our communities and ecosystems more resilient to climate change. Taking action instead of just worrying is empowering and inspiring! Attendees say they feel fired up and full of ideas by the end of the meeting.

No commitment to join the group is required. Come see and hear what's happening in our Climate Reality community. You don't even have to dress up.
