After that experience, I decided that I should, from then on, make a living based on my educational qualifications: Bachelor’s in theology, Master’s in Theology, and Ph.D. in Byzantine History. So, on August 1, 2023, the first newsletter reflecting on themes of Byzantine history, theology and above all ROCOR history came out. As of April 21, 2024, I have produced 265 daily reports available to subscribers for $3 a month via Patreon. I still have 100 more days “to run” to make “a full circle.” I cannot do this for free. You generously supported this project helping me to reach my goal: $50 for each day of this marathon. I am $5,000 short of this goal. Besides being a full-time faculty member at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, I am involved in a few other income generating projects like teaching for the Pastoral school of Chicago and Mid-America. I am prepared to handle day-in and day-out expenses, but with the family of five there are regular financial emergencies as is the case right now. After I have completed the first year of my daily reports on July 31, my priority is going to be turning my dissertation on Byzantine Theology into a book. Nevertheless, I will continue honing my daily reports, adding new themes, and improving the old ones. Your donations will help me to continue this “marathon”. We have 120 subscribers, but This Day in the Life of the Church has room to grow further! How Can You Support? |
