Astor Guest Newsletter The Astor Newsletter is a creative platform dedicated to enriching the experiences of both travellers and the local community by showcasing London's hidden and alternative scenes. Designed and written by our resident artists and collaborators, this newsletter serves as a communal effort to connect and inspire through travel stories, off-beat tips, and creative insights. In this inaugural issue, we introduce the theme of "Lazy London," featuring an article by Federica Consiglio, who highlights three lesser-known spots in London where one can decompress and rediscover the pleasures of laziness. These locations include Regent's Place, Rooftop Film Club, and The Inner and Middle Temple Gardens — each offering a serene escape from the city's usual hustle and bustle. Our newsletter also encourages community participation, inviting guests and local creatives to submit their own articles and contribute to future editions. We are particularly interested in uncovering London’s hidden gems, including free cultural visits, offbeat culinary spots, vibrant party scenes, and unique walking tours. Our goal is to inspire travellers to explore the city in unexpected and exciting ways. Moreover, we are actively seeking collaborations with visual artists, photographers, musicians, and filmmakers. We offer opportunities to expand portfolios, participate in creative projects, and join our network for future job opportunities. Artists who contribute can even enjoy a free stay at our hostels in exchange for their collaborative work. |
