Framework for Living  - available printed and digital

Rooted in the founding principles of S.L.A.A. — a Fellowship established in 1976 by members who recognized that the same Twelve Steps that transformed the lives of alcoholics could bring freedom to sex and love addicts — this is the first S.L.A.A. publication to give equal weight to all Three Legacies: Recovery, Unity, and Service.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • The Twelve Steps — a new way of living, free from obsession-driven behaviour and the burden of active addiction
  • The Twelve Traditions — a framework for healing relationships and living in harmony with others
  • The Twelve Concepts — guidelines for service that connect individuals to something greater than themselves

Complementing the foundational Basic Text published in 1986, this volume brings together essays from recovering S.L.A.A. members worldwide — personal insights drawn from practicing these principles in daily life, in community, and in service.

Notice of Vote on Intergroup Constitutional Amendments September 14, 6:30pm AET

Intergroup began the process of incorporation in July 2025. In January 2026 Intergroup sought feedback from the fellowship on the draft constitution for the Incorporated Intergroup. We are now ready to enter the final stages

  • Adopting a new constitution for SLAA Australian Intergroup Incorporated, to replace the current NSW Model Constitution
  • Closing down the un-incorporated SLAA Australian Intergroup and transferring all functions and assets to SLAA Australian Intergroup Incorporated

Formal notice, as required by their constitutions, is given to all groups and members of votes on the following constitutional amendments to take place on Zoom on September 14, 2026 and 6.30pm AET

All Australian SLAA Groups are entitled to appoint a Group Representative to attend Intergroup meetings and vote on these and other issues. Any member may attend and participate in Intergroup meetings. Only Group Representatives and Trusted Servants can vote.
