Route update (02nd Dec 2024) Thank you for your patience as we addressed the concerns regarding the Half Marathon course distance at the Silverstone Run Fest 2024. After remeasuring the route on Friday, we regret to confirm that the course was short. The route was planned and set by our team, and while we followed the certified course measurements and implemented necessary adjustments in the week leading up to the event, it has become clear there was an error in the original measurement process. The Association of UK Course Measurers (AUKCM) has reviewed their measurement, acknowledged the mistake, and apologised to all participants. We would also like to clarify that Ahotu, as title sponsor, had no involvement with the course planning or certification process. We fully understand how disappointing this news is, especially for those working towards personal bests or milestones. We share your frustration, knowing the time, effort, and sacrifices you made in preparing for the Silverstone Run Fest to challenge your limits. Although we are unable to offer refunds, we would like to extend a 25% discount on next year’s entry as a gesture of goodwill. We hope this encourages you to return and experience the complete, certified course that we are committed to delivering in 2025. In the coming days, we will send an email with instructions on how to claim your discounted spot for SRF25. Thank you for your understanding and for participating this year despite the challenges, your support means a great deal to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year for an even better race experience If you have any more questions on this matter please reach out directly to us and we'll be happy to assist you further Silverstone Run Fest Events Team |
