Hello All,

Welcome to the Newsletter for March, it's starting to feel like spring!  Thanks to all the new people that signed up for this and are getting it for the first time.  It's great to have you.  Above is a photo of our stage at the Lakeville Arts Center a couple of weeks ago just before we went on.  I'd like to share some very kind words from Jill who attended the show:

"My husband and I throughly enjoyed seeing you last night in Lakeville. We are instant fans. The wide range of vocals and instruments made each song a surprise. We enjoyed the banter between the audience members and you, along with the interaction you have with Kaat. I have never seen a duet have such perfect timing. You were equally superb together or as a soloist  A highlight of the evening was your solo set on the violin (?) Sorry, I don’t know instruments. Your playing invoked emotions in me while also transporting me through location. At one time all I could envision was diving in the ocean with the sounds of whales talking. Later I felt a storm brewing and my anxiety rising. There was so much going on in that instrumental set. I kept wondering whats next.
We will be looking for you in other locations.
Thank you for the enjoyable experience."

Thanks to Jill for the fantastic endorsement!  We just found out that we will be back in Lakeville this summer to perform a headlining set at Casperson Park Bandshell June 25th from 7:00-8:30 pm.

In the meantime I'd like to let you know about some shows coming up in March.  Kaat and I are playing a couple of venues that we've never played before.  First up is MC's Tap House in Lino Lakes, MN.  We booked a bunch of summertime rooftop shows there, but for March we will be inside on March 12 from 5:00-8:00 pm.  I'm hoping to meet some old and new friends there.  On Saturday March 15th Omni Winery & Taproom in Rosemount will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with an all day music event with three groups, and live music from 12:00-10:00 pm.  We'll be playing the evening slot from 7:00-10:00 pm.  Following on Sunday March 16, Washington Square in White Bear Lake will also be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with us playing from 5:00-8:00 pm.  BTW Kaat is very Irish and looks even more so with her new red hair.  Wear your green!

Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute won Tribute act of the year for 2023 from the Midwest Country Music Organization and we have been nominated for it again for 2024.  We will be playing our first show ever inside at Le Musique Room in St. Michael, MN on Friday March 21 at 7:30 pm.  It's a fun show celebrating the great music of the country band Alabama.  Tickets are going fast, follow this link for tickets: https://lemusiqueroom.thundertix.com/
