Welcome to the July 2024 edition of Marv's Music Mail newsletter.

Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute Show had a fantastic set at Lakes Jam in Brainerd, MN this past Saturday, opening the show on the mainstage for Tyler Hubberd, Joe Nichols, Deana Carter, and Chayce Beckham.  We had a great audience singing and clapping along right from the beginning, to all the favorite songs of Alabama. It was a beautiful afternoon and evening for a concert.  Check out the photo above.

There are three more chances to see Songs of the South this month.  Tomorrow July 4th, we'll be at St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake, WI.  Our show starts at 9:00 pm following a rodeo. I'm looking forward to seeing some crazy bull riding!  Next Wednesday July 10th, we'll play for the Summertime by George concert series in beautiful Eastman Park by Lake George in St. Cloud, MN.  Our show starts at 7:00 pm following Kat Blue, a four piece acoustic group opening at 5:30 pm.  Later in the month Mississippi Crossings Summer Series in Champlin, MN will host Songs of the South.  This is a relatively new venue right on the river.  Hopefully it's not flooded!  Thursday July 25th at 6:00 pm.

July has Marv & Kaat doing a mix of private and public shows.  It will be the first time for us playing Bobbing Bobber Brewing in Hutchinson, Saturday July 13, noon-3:00 pm.  Looking forward to seeing all our Hutchinson friends at that show.  All of 2024 we're playing the Iron Exchange Brewery the first Saturday of the month and the Chart House the last Friday of the month.
