Hello All,

Welcome to the May 2024 edition of Marv's Music Mail newsletter.

The picture above, Kaat and I took some time out from recording in Nashville to tour the Ryman Auditorium.  The Ryman is called the mother church of country music but has had pretty much all kinds of music performed within its walls.  It would be the highlight of any performers career to play there.  We also did a stroll down Broadway with the only rhinestones being on Kaat’s boots.

I’m happy to announce that Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute Show won Tribute Band Of The Year at the annual Midwest Country Music Organization Awards Show.  The awards show was held this year in Okoboji, Iowa the weekend of April 26-28. The Midwest CMO is an organization that promotes and supports country music in the Midwest.  Unfortunately we were unable to attend due to playing shows and traveling to Nashville, but thankful to all the Organization members who voted for us.

Marv & Kaat, again this month, have a limited number of shows which allows us more time to work on upcoming record releases.  The shows that we are doing include our monthly stops at the Iron Exchange Brewery tomorrow night! The Chart House as well as the Cannon River Winery and Washington Square.  Also this month we’ll have Sunday afternoon shows at the Holz Farm in Eagan and our first show of the year at the outdoor stage of the Marina Lodge in Fairmont.
