Welcome to the March 2024 edition of Marv's Music Mail newsletter.

I'm sending this edition out on Leap Day 2024 and it feels like we're jumping right into March so fast.  We've had a whole bunch of recording sessions the last few weeks, working on three of Kaat's songs.  In the picture above you can see Gil Navarro assisting me recording Doug Swartz on drums (Gin Blossoms).  There's still more work to do and we plan on continuing to record through the spring.

Kaat and I have a couple of very special shows coming up next week.  First off, Thursday March 7th, its Pub Night at the Lakeville Arts Center.  I've been looking forward to this show since we booked it last Fall.  It's a great room to hear music in and a nice large stage.  There may be some special surprises there as well, for tickets check out this link: https://lakevilleareaartscenter.com/1116/First-Thursday-Pub-Night-Marv-Kaat

The very next night it's the debut of Club Kaat, that's the name for Kaat's original music band.  Kaat on vocals and guitar, me on vocals and all my stuff and Bob Delage on vocals, electric and string basses.  Friday night March 8th at MetroNOME brewery lower level,  Fingal's Cave is called the Twin Cities most intimate performance venue, in Lowertown St. Paul.  Showtime is 6:30 pm.  For tickets follow this link:   https://calendar.boomte.ch/registration/yrqgnA8H9hH9A8dK0xoU1J7

We have two shows planned for St. Paddy's Day weekend.  Saturday early evening from 4:00-7:00 pm on March 16 will be the first time Kaat and I will play Club 57 in Waseca, MN.  It's been a long time since I've played there with other bands, and we've been talking about getting back there for awhile.  On St. Patrick's Day March 17th we will be at Washington Square in White Bear Lake, MN from 5:00-8:00 pm.  Both venues will sport a St. Paddy's Day theme.  I want to see Kaat (who is Irish, did the red hair give it away?) drink some green beer.

We're playing the Iron Exchange Brewery every first Saturday of the month,  the Chart House, also every month, usually the last Friday and the Cannon River Winery every other month, generally the last Saturday.  Please come out to support these venues as they are great support for us!
