Hello All,

I spent about a week in Nashville last month, and when looking for a place to stay, I couldn't resist booking a room at the Fiddler's Inn.  It's conveniently located near Opryland and the Grand Ole Opry and we had tickets to see the classic country show there.  One afternoon we checked out some of the music that the clubs on Broadway had to offer. On the last night that my daughter was there, we went to the Ryman Auditorium to see Lady A (Lady Antebellum) perform the first show of their upcoming tour.  It was inspiring to hear so much great music.

For four of the days in Nashville I was making music with Phil Solem (The Rembrandts).  We worked on recordings for two songs.  One is a song of mine that we worked on many years ago but never finished to my satisfaction.  I had to dig up some old tracks which we revived and added to.  The other song is one that Phil and I wrote together with our friend Mike Tienken, also years ago.  I've been wanting to record my version of it for a while now. Those two songs and eight more are planned for an album release sometime this summer.

Kaat and I will again be playing many of our favorite venues this month.  See the calendar below for more details.  One show of note is the annual Spring Festival at the Holz Farm in Eagan, Sunday May 21st from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  We'll be playing on the front porch of the farmhouse along with all kinds of other kid friendly events such as wagon rides, baby farm animals, tractor demos and so much more.  It's a great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon!

Thanks to all who came out to shows last month, it means so much to me and I don't take it for granted.  I really appreciate it.  I hope to see you all again sometime this month.
