I had my first taste of June strawberries a couple days ago, straight from my strawberry fields garden. They are such a release of energy on the taste buds, so good! Well I don't think Kaat is going to bring strawberries to the next show but we do have something special to offer you. A release party is coming up for the new Kaatwalk EP titled A Week In June. The show will be at the Aster Cafe on Main Street in Minneapolis 8:00 pm June 24th. It will be the first show where we will have available all new merch including posters, t-shirts and a beautiful new physical CD of the EP, all ready for signing! The full Kaatwalk band will be playing with John Wright on bass and Daryl Boudreaux on percussion. The EP will be available for streaming and digital download two days later on June 26th. If you're still wondering how all the talk about strawberries ties in well, if you listen to the title track you'll hear the reference there. As a warmup to the EP release show Kaat & I will play a stripped down preview at MC's Tap House in Brooklyn Park (not the one in Lino Lakes). We'll be there Thursday June 18th from 6:00-8:00 pm playing an all original Kaatwalk show with maybe a few of my songs thrown in as well.

The other really big ticketed show I'll be playing this month is with Shane Martin on the Main Stage at the Winstock Country Music Festival, Winsted, MN June 20. There's a great lineup on that day: 12:30 pm - Shane Martin, 2:35 pm – Easton Corbin, 4:40 pm – Sara Evans, 6:45 pm – Carly Pearce, 8:50 pm – Mitchell Tenpenny, and headliner 10:30 pm – Luke Bryan. For free outdoor music in the lovely month of June we have lots of options too. Check out the calendar below for patio shows in Rochester, Fairmont, Prior Lake  and Stillwater.
