Hello All,

Welcome to the Newsletter for April 2026!  I passed on sending out the newsletter yesterday so you wouldn't think that it was just some April fools joke! Were you fooled yesterday or were you playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who, that's what I'm listening to.

We had a bunch of very fun shows in March thanks to all the people that showed up. Even though a huge snowstorm was coming through, a massive group of green clad fans made their way out to our St. Patricks celebration at the Omni Winery in Rosemount, MN on March 14th. There was much singing along and many requested songs played. Our Main Street Sports Bar show on March 26th was another one where so many of our Hutchinson area fans came out and made it a very special rowdy evening. Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute had a two day stand at LeMusique Room in St. Michael March 28-29. The nearly full house audiences were on their feet and singing along to the great songs of Alabama. I'll be playing again with Shane and the band next at the Winstock Festival in June and a Fourth of July Alabama show in Delano for the towns 150th anniversary!

The Kaatwalk Can't Be Alone single release party at the Crooners Dunsmore Room on March 19th was a huge success! The band, with John Wright on basses, Daryl Boudreaux on percussion and special guest Martial Besombes on piano played for a nearly sold out audience. Including an encore, the show of mostly Kaat songs lasted for nearly two hours. The set included rockers, easy mid tempo songs and introspective ballads. First time ever, Kaat sat solo at the grand piano and sang her song "Thank You For Being You".

Thanks to all who came out to the shows in March and made them so special, we so appreciate all the love and support you have given us!

The Kaatwalk "Can't Be Alone" single was officially released March 20th, so it is available now on all you favorite streaming platforms as well as can be downloaded from digital stores such as iTunes or Amazon. Surprise! We have another song that we are releasing tonight at midnight (April 3rd). Kaat wrote the song called "Open Your Eyes" in January after Renee Good was shot and killed in Minneapolis. We were arranging and rehearsing the song in Fairmont for a show when we got the news that Alex Pretti was also shot. Those were some very sad heart wrenching days. We recorded the song with Kaat on guitar and vocal and me on banjo, but held back the official release since the "Can't Be Alone" release was already set. So open your eyes and ears and check it out!

The list below is everything that is planned so far for April and looking ahead to May. Please check the website and click on the STAGE link for updates to the schedule. Thanks so much for your interest in and support of the music.  Hope to see you soon at one of the shows!

Peace & Love,

MG.
