St. Paul, MN, 10/2/2024 Kaatwalk Band

Hello All,

Welcome to the Newsletter for October.  Minnesota has been having some of the most beautiful weather of the year recently and it looks like it will continue into the weekend! Luckily, Marv & Kaat are scheduled to play a couple outdoor events this weekend. Saturday October 4 we will be celebrating an October Fest at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca, MN.  Music starts at noon and we will play from 3:30-7:00 pm.  Sunday October 5 we'll be lakeside at the Marina Lodge in Fairmont, MN from 12:00-4:00 pm.  We've been playing the Marina every month this year since early May and we've been so lucky to have great weather every time!  Probably the last outdoor shows of the year to look forward to are:  on the 11th, Fall Harvest Orchard (bring the kids), the Chart House on the 17th,  the Freight House on the 18th.

The BIG NEWS is that this month Kaat will be releasing one of the songs we've been working on over the past year!  The song is called 'Stop the Rain'.  We're planning on a release date of October 17th to all streaming services, and remember to find it, use Kaat's full artist name: Kaatwalk.  You're all invited to the single release party Oct. 22 at Sociable Cider Werks in NE Minneapolis.  The festivities start at 5:30 pm with artist booths and a merch giveaway, with music by the Kaatwalk Band and special guests at 7:00 pm.  The song written by Kaat, was recorded and produced at my studio with help from Gil Navarro. Percussion by Daryl Boudreaux.  Additional tracks and mixing was done in Nashville by Phil Solem (The Rembrandts). It's being mastered at Rare Form Mastering by Greg Reierson.  We're so excited to showcase the song and more of Kaat's music, I hope you can make it!

I'll be joining the Shane Martin Band October 24th at the Medina Ballroom, Medina, MN opening for country great Tracy Byrd.  Byrd has charted more than thirty hit singles in his career, including eleven additional Top Ten hits. He has also released ten studio albums and two greatest-hits albums, with four gold certifications and one double-platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.  I'm expecting a really fun show.
