Hello All,

Welcome to the Newsletter for September.  Marv & Kaat had a number of private events in August and the above picture is from one super fun summer bash in Lakeville.  As you can see they're all showing off their Marv & Kaat shirts.  We carry shirts in all sizes to all our shows so I would encourage everyone to get to a show and get your very own for $25 or you can email me and I will send you one for $30.  We do all kinds of private events so if you would like Marv & Kaat or Marv Solo, at your event just contact me and we'll work it out!

I'll be playing solo once again at the 50th Annual Rice County Steam & Gas Show in Dundas MN.  It's a great exhibition of vintage machinery of all kinds.  There's a steam powered sawmill, threshing, tractor pull and parade, all kinds of things to see and do and great fun for the kids.  I'll be playing August 30 & 31 from 10:00 am-noon on the stage of the music building followed by more live music in the afternoon.

Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute has had a busy summer traveling to the west, north and east.  We've been to Crosslake, MN, Redwood Falls, MN, Baraboo WI, Alexandria MN, Moorhead MN and Aitkin, MN.  We'll be doing another show September 12 at St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake, WI.  Show time 8:00 pm.

Kaat and I wound down our super busy month of 20 shows by playing six sets of music at the Minnesota State Fair Wednesday and Thursday August 27 & 28.  We were on the on the DNR Stage again this year and it was great to see so many old friends come out and enjoy the fair, and meet many new friends.  We'll be starting off the month of September by playing Labor Day at the Freight House in Stillwater from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

So the kids will be heading off to school but I'm hoping for some beautiful patio weather still this fall.  We'll be playing some of our favorite places again so I hope we'll see you there.  The list below is everything that is planned so far for September.  Please check the website and click on the STAGE link for updates to the schedule.  Thanks so much for your interest in and support of the music.
