MC's Tap House 5/14/25 by Ken Legus

Hello All,

Welcome to the Newsletter for June.  Thanks to Ken for the photo above from the rooftop of MC's Tap House a couple of weeks ago.  It was a beautiful evening and a very fun audience.  I love the warm glow from the setting sun in this picture.  We'll be back there June 11th and once a month through out the summer.  You've got to check it out!

Looks like it's gonna be a lovely weekend!  Today May 30th, should be Marv & Kaat's first day of the year out on the patio at the Chart House in Lakeville, MN. It's an early evening show, we play from 4:30-7:30 pm, so get there early.  Tomorrow, the 31st we'll be at the Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls, MN 1:00-4:00 pm and Sunday June 1st we'll be back at the Marina Lodge in Fairmont, MN.

Shane Martin's Songs of the South Alabama Tribute is heading north to Crosslake, MN June 14th to play at the Crosslake Town Square for an all day music event.  Opening bands will be Girls Night Out and Benjamin Raye & Empire Players.  We'll go on at 6:00 pm and perform two sets of our Alabama show and follow up with a set from Shane's regular show.

If you look ahead to the show calendar below, you'll see a busy month ahead for Marv & Kaat.  I'd like to highlight a few of the unique and special shows that we have coming up.  Music and Message is a series of events in June that the Wayzata Community Church has been putting on for many years and they have had some great artists play it.  We are honored and excited to have been picked this year. Our event starts off June 18 at 5:30 pm with hot dogs on the grill and the music starts at 6:15 pm.  I believe they said something about ice cream also!  June 19th we'll be at Margies Kitchen+Cocktails in Andover, MN.  Hopefully Shannon Curfman will be there and sit in with us again, if she is not touring with Kid Rock.  She is the booker for the venue and also an amazing singer and guitarist.  Friday June 20th will be our first show of the summer on the patio at Legends in Prior Lake. Music from 5:00-8:00 pm.

On Wednesday June 25th Marv & Kaat will be headlining a show at the beautiful amphitheater at Casperson Park in Lakeville, MN. Opening the show will be Patchouli & Terra Guitarra a nuevo flamenco guitar duo.  We will go on at 7:00 pm as a full four piece band, which we haven't done in a long time. There will also be food trucks!  One last highlight.  June 27th will be our first show at Badger Hill Brewing in Shakopee, MN 7:00-10:00 pm.  This is in the new entertainment district that is being built next to Canterbury Park.  I'm excited to play this new venue!

Many shows to pick from this coming month, so I'm hoping that we'll be playing close to you at some point and we'll see you out at a show!  The list below is everything that is planned so far for June.  Please check the website and click on the STAGE link for updates to the schedule.  Thanks so much for your interest in the music.
