Hello All, "Beware the Ides of March". That's a phrase I was thinking about this month. From Shakespeare's historical play Julius Caesar.  Caesar was warned by a prophet or seer that an attempt on his life would happen on the Ides (or the 15th) of March.  Upon passing the seer on that day Julius joked "Well, the Ides of March are come", to which the seer replied "Aye, they are come, but they are not gone."  He didn't live to see the next day. March can be a scary month, but on a more positive, joyful note the first day of Spring and the Equinox arrives March 20th! Above is a photo from a pre-Valentine's Day show at the Chart House.  We had a fantastic audience there for our first time in the main dining room. A very fun night, Sally Costa shot a video of us doing an audience sing along that will be going up on my YouTube channel. I'm excited to be playing with Kaat tomorrow night, for our first (and last) show of the ski season at Buck Hill.  Whether you ski or not, come hang out by the fire place and enjoy the wintery atmosphere and free music! The following two shows are at venues with lovely grand pianos, which I get to play.  The Iron Exchange Brewery, a favorite place of ours, is this Saturday night March 4th from 8:00-11:00 pm.  The rescheduled Annadine show in Dodge Center will be next Friday March 10th at 7:00 pm. Later on in the month, I'll be playing with Shane Martin and his band for the Songs of the South, Alabama Tribute Show. On stage at Pioneer Place in St. Cloud, MN Saturday March 25th at 7:30 pm.  Get your tickets now!  It's a little lighter gigging schedule this month, so I'm hoping to get some work done on some special projects I've had in mind.  I'll let you know more about that next month. I'm excited to be playing all the shows this month, I hope to see you there.  Look below for all the details.  Thanks for all your support! Peace & Love, MG. |
