7 Day Roadmap

Note: Each task on the list can be completed in 7 days, especially if you focus exclusively on it. The entire list is achievable within a week only if you dedicate the entire week to its completion.

Standalone E-commerce Website

  1. User Experience (UX): Ensure your website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly.Β 
  2. Product Descriptions: Improve product descriptions for clarity and SEO.
  3. Quality Images: Upgrade product images for higher resolution and consistency.
  4. Checkout Process: Streamline the checkout process for a smoother user experience. Your checkout process should be easy to follow and quick to complete (no more than 5 steps, aim for 3).Β 

Marketplace

  1. Profile Optimization: Ensure your profile on the marketplace is complete and compelling. This should include a good profile photo (logo), business description and consistent branding.Β 
  2. Product Listings: Review and improve product listings for accuracy and attractiveness (this includes updating names, photos and descriptions).Β 
  3. Pricing Analysis: Research competitor pricing and make necessary adjustments. Remember, that your pricing is not solely based on your competitors, therefore if a certain price point does not make sense for you, do not adopt it.
  4. Customer Engagement: Start engaging with customers on social media, through Q&A (e.g. comments/questions on the platfrom) and messages.

14 Day Roadmap

Note: Each task on this list can be accomplished within 7 to 14 days, especially if you're managing other responsibilities simultaneously. Completing the entire list within two weeks is realistic if you commit your efforts consistently.

Standalone E-commerce Website

  1. SEO: Conduct keyword research and optimize your product pages for search engines. Google Keyword Planner (found under Google Ads) is a free tool that you can use.
  2. Email Marketing: Start building an email list and create an automated email campaign. The email campaing can have aΒ  gift such as a freebie or coupon code that someone can receive once they share their contact informaion (this is also known as a lead magnet).Β 
  3. Social Media: Begin promoting your products on social media platforms. Focuson creating growth content and running ads. We recommend working with a professional.Β 
  4. Customer Service: Set up customer service guidelines and response times.

Marketplace

  1. Reviews and Ratings: Encourage satisfied customers to leave positive reviews.
  2. Inventory Management: Ensure inventory levels are updated and accurate.
  3. Promotions: Explore and set up promotions or deals within the marketplace. This should capture the attention of potential leads. You can take it a step further by running ads with the promoted products on the marketplace.Β 
  4. Shipping Options: Optimize shipping methods and pricing. Identify shipping methods that your target market would prefer.Β

30 Day Roadmap

For each task on this list, plan for a 30-day completion window. If you're juggling multiple responsibilities, this timeframe allows for a more balanced and manageable approach, ensuring successful completion within a month.
