EVANGELISTIC SUPPORT PROGRAM

Yes, I received an invitation to pastor a church in Miami, Florida. But I want to tell this testimony in full and I hope it can spiritually build your life.

A few days ago I told my story of how the Lord Jesus took me to Bolivia. My wife and I were in a prayer period seeking God's guidance for every decision we needed to make. First God told us that he would take us to another nation, then God told us about the nation, then the Spirit of God told us the city and even the place where our home would be.

The feeling I had was one of complete dependence on the Lord Jesus for every decision. I felt loved by God and felt his care for my life. And all I wanted was to do his will every day.

Then a church leader in the United States sent a message to my brother-in-law and me. He knew us, he knew our work and there was a need for pastors to take over churches formed by Latinos. At the time there were several churches in several American states and we were presented with the proposal to pastor the churches.

I went to pray to the Lord and present that invitation. I know that the United States has a need for workers, as does Canada, as does France, Italy, and where there are sinners there is a need. But the Lord taught me something very strong about life with God where the servant who is guided by the Spirit of God to fulfill the purpose of God does not live to supply needs, but to do the will of the Father wherever HE sends and until when HE wants .

So, I said no to the invitation and I went to do missions in Bolivia. But what if I had accepted? Are there any advantages to being a pastor in a church in Miami? Yes, there is, but I am left with a question: How much does it cost to leave God's direction?
