Call for FWSP Hero Award Nominations!

It's Time To Celebrate Heroes!

As we kick off a new year, it's good to look back and celebrate past year's achievements. Let's do so by calling nominations for the 2026 FWSP HERO Awards!

The HERO Award reflects outstanding service and dedication to Wisconsin's treasured state properties. As Friends' groups, there is a lot to accomplish: Stewardship, event planning, fundraising, and strong partnerships with community as well as property staff.

There are three categories:

Outstanding Member of a Friends' Group
Outstanding Friends' Group
Outstanding Property Staff Member

The Nomination form is LIVE. Deadline to submit your nominations is Friday, February 27th at the end of the day.

HERO Award Nomination Form

We will announce the winners in mid-March. Recipients will receive an exclusive wooden FWSP HERO Award plaque, personally delivered from the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks, and social media promotion.

We look forward to the submissions of nominees!
