You, my friend, are incredible.

As Giving Tuesday winds down, we want to say "Thank You." Your generosity today has been inspiring—and it shows just how much Wisconsin’s state parks, forests, trails, and natural areas mean to all of us.

But we aren’t done yet.

There is still time to make a meaningful impact for the places that serve millions each year.

Why Your Support Is Still Urgently Needed

Even with their popularity, our public lands face serious challenges:

  • Ranked 50th in the nation for visitor spending

  • 20 million visitors annually across parks, forests, and trails

  • Over $1 billion in backlogged maintenance

  • A park system funded solely through user fees (park passes + campsite reservations)

These pressures fall heavily on the 65+ local Friends groups who support outdoor recreation, education, tourism, and community engagement.

  • Strengthen environmental and youth education

  • Support naturalists and volunteer programs

  • Build stronger community connections to beloved parks

If there’s any Giving Tuesday campaign to support—this is the one.
