Author and Professor to Speak on Differences and Common Patterns in State Land Management Greetings, Friends! October has arrived, and while it feels like it may still be August, the surrounding landscape across the state is striving to enhance its autumn colors. A gentle reminder that the Annual Meeting is looming, too. The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks warmly invite you to join us for our Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 15, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM. This year’s gathering will take place at the beautiful University of Wisconsin Arboretum in Madison. One of the special features is our keynote speaker: Author and Edgewood University Professor Steven Davis. He will present on his latest publication, "The Other Public Lands: Preservation, Extraction, and Politics on the Fifty State's Natural Resources Lands." This book is informative, looking at data and information across the Nation (and discussion on Friends' groups in Wisconsin). For more information on his book, please see the following link: The Other Public Lands Book. We urge you to join us this November for not only this engaging presentation, but participate in workshops that will include advocacy basics, digital media marketing, and more. Registration link can be found below. Cost is $35. FWSP Annual Meeting Registration Link We look forward to being with you in November!
