Speak Like a Naturalist: Please Disturb!

Dear Friend,

We cannot express our sincerest gratitude in regards to your persistence. The call to action is nonstop to advocate for Knowles-Nelson Stewardship and funding for our state parks and Friends groups. Your emails and phone calls are being heard.

We need to keep the momentum going.

We stand with and convey the same sentiments as our colleagues like Gathering Waters: Voice your support for programs like Knowles-Nelson in the biennial budget.

You know what these monies benefit: LTE Naturalist wages, materials for exhibits, education programs, and stewardship efforts that aid Friends to maintain and support our many vibrant parks, trails and forests.

Just like the sign hanging above the Naturalist's office at Newport State Park: Please disturb! Your voice and actions are integral to your future.

Continue to disturb legislation and Joint Finance Committee members: Tell them they NEED to support the Knowles-Nelson Program and funding for the Department of Natural Resources. Funding is a domino effect: Support parks means supporting visitor experience and local economies.
