Thordarson Trail Loop: Rock Island State Park

The Call to Action Never Ends.

Happy Monday, fellow friends!

I had the immense pleasure to visit with a number of wonderful people this weekend while camping at Rock Island State Park. From park staff, Friends of Rock Island board members, volunteers, and regular visitors, everyone displayed their passion and love for these vibrant spaces. Also enjoyed a hearty visit at Newport State Park on a rainy Sunday afternoon!

That being said, the passion needs to continue to remain steadfast in advocating for the Wisconsin State Park System. July is looming with the finalization of the state biennial budget, making it an imperative time to contact your elected officials to support funding for the 50 parks, 15 state forests (and beyond).
