Get a taste of the Absa Cape Epic

Gravel & Grit: a weekend festival of outdoor fun for the whole family. This is our third year and the event is growing and expanding.

Friday night: 5km Sunset Hike for young and old. Food and drinks for sale after the event, entries only R65

New and Exciting: our 105km mountain bike challenge now features sections of the Absa Cape Epic Route for 2026. We didn't add the gnarly stuff, it does contains a lot of climbing BUT you can ride it.

Saturday: Mountain Bike Challenge

105 km with 1982 m climb: route direction change, plus additional 2km Single Track through Slagkloof on African Game Lodge
62 km with 987 m climb: traversing Ouberg Private Nature Reserve

Saturday night "after-party" and Lucky Draws with live music food and drinks

Sunday: 5 | 10 | 15km Kapokbos Trail Runs

The 5km fun run this year will be just that, a "fun run" and no prizes or timing will be given for this distance, you will be awarded a medal for finishing.

COMOTION IN THE KLEIN KAROO

Two Day MTB Fun Weekend

13 to 14th December 2025

What is so special about Comotion in the Klein Karoo? This two day event is aimed at having fun & getting away from the every day routines. Even though it is a fun event and not a race, Great-Time will be timing your ride.

Short enough stages so you can still have fun: 50 to 55km

Race village like in those epic events: tented accommodation with all meals included or a just ride entry and everything in between.

Two stunning and very different stages:

Stage One: typical karoo jeep track, not a lot of climbing. This stage will be new this year.

Stage Two: is the Queen stage going all the way to the top of the Waboomsberg Mountain range.

PLEASE NOTE: an additional easier non technical stage will be added to the Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve stage, making it possible for the less fit & technically inclined rider.

You can now also enter for only one stage
