Rumali Guest Farm QUEEN STAGE 13th July Rumali Guest Farm is the host of the 3rd event in our trail run series, situated in the Keisie valley. This will be our Queen Stage of the series, with magnificent views and a very special water station on-top of the mountain. This event is also pet-friendly, so if you want to bring your canine on a leash to run with you…you are at the right place. The best views water-station, with a twist awaits you. Bring your camera… Both routes feature a Muscadel tasting station, proudly presented by Montagu Winery, to warm the spirit mid-run. At the Finish a cool Bavaria ZA awaits all participants, alongside Montagu Winery with tasting available on the day. Snacks and non alcoholic beverages will be sold but we encourage all participants to bring a bottle of their favorite wine, picnic blanket/camp-chair & something for the braai fires. On-wards and Up-wards !! 5km Fun run/walk: flat and suitable for all fitness levels, scenic and social. We welcome those wanting to walk to come enjoy the fresh air, gorgeous views at their own pace. 10km Trail Run 458m ascent: this challenging 10km trail run delivers a true mountain experience with over 400m of elevation gain, most of it packed into the first 6km. The route begins gently, with flowing single and jeep track to ease the legs into it. At 3.8km a sharp right turn, marks the beginning of a tough but rewarding climb, gaining more than 20 meters in under 2km's... Expect a dynamic mix of technical trails, rocky scrambles and fast flowing single track, all winding through rugged mountain terrain - the natural habitat of the Klipspringer. We can hardly wait to welcome out in the Keisie valley! |
