Ladismith to Montagu 7th May 2023 Distances: 50, 100 & 150km Venues: Oaksrest & Prinspoort Klein Karoo Finish: Saaikamer/Tafelkop Droë Vrugte Montagu Entry fees: R250 to R750 Timing: Great Time This is a brand new event addition to the Gravel Corridor Series with three route options. The start venues differ for the distances. You will accumulate points for this event that will count towards an overall race leader at the end of November. This event is a point to point route which starts in Ladismith and ends in Montagu. The registration will be the day before at Oaksrest Guest Farm. They have self catering accommodation and lovely camping spots next to a dam. See pics and info below. The 100km route starts from Prinspoort Klein Karoo Stay at 7am. This is accommodation is already full! Alternative accommodation links are available on the Makadas website. The 50km route starts at the junction with Sanbona and Eyerpoort Reserves Route: This is a stunning route, it travels through an area where the locals still uses donkey carts and it really feels like time has slowed down out there. The terrain varies quite a lot from good hard compact gravel roads to twisty sections all along the back of the Anysberg. Again like with the Montagu's event I think there will be record time's set up on this particular route.
