Hello Red Tree Foundation Community,

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kari Langdon and I joined the Red Tree Foundation Team at the end of November as General Manager. Liza has been a phenomenal CEO and educator over the last few years, leading the organisation and offering compassionate leadership. Liza has decided to step away from the CEO position and focus on her passion for education. She is still very much a part of the team as the Learning and Education Coordinator.

Kari

On behalf of the Red Tree Foundation, we want to thank you for sharing your experiences and allowing us to hear your stories of loss. We feel privileged to be a part of this community. We know that this time of year can be difficult and encourage you to do what you need to do to take care of yourselves and honour your baby or child.

Thank you for being brave in opening up in counselling sessions, sharing your pain, attending support groups, volunteering, participating in events or donating.

For many, the holiday season is a time of joy, connection and celebration. After loss it can also bring moments of reflection, longing and bittersweet memories. Often, we hold multiple feelings and emotions at the same time, which may conflict with each other.  We acknowledge that the holidays can amplify the ache of absence and admire your courage in carrying both your grief and love for those who are not with us.
