WIDERSTAND! is the first release of EmilFritz´ Doom Metal solo project COURSE FOR CHAOS. Inspired by the impressive diary of the Jewish resistant fighter against the fascist tyranny against the Jewish population in Poland during WW II, Gusta Dawidson Draenger (Nom de Guerre: Justyna), COURSE FOR CHAOS is telling the fictional story of Justyna´s last minutes in her life, fighting for freedom until her last breath.
Expressed in powerful words and dressed in dark and powerful Doom Metal sounds, COURSE FOR CHAOS intends to make a strong statement against forgetting and to honor the courage and sacrifice especially of the Jewish resistance fighters. The chosen way of narration creates the impression of following the story in real-time. The listeners should have the opportunity to empathise with Justyna's hopeless situation as much as possible. Therefore choruses are intentionally omitted.
In the making of the CD COURSE FOR CHAOS was supported by several friends. Markus Malmstroem's work, especially his powerful, transparent mix and the brilliant sound design, give listeners of this concept album an exciting and thrilling experience with a radio play character that gets under the skin. M.I., a professional voice actor, creates a goosebump atmosphere in the prologue and epilogue with his captivating voice that leaves no one cold.
In the end, the music and lyrics are meant to take the listener on a journey of high atmospheric density that is thought-provoking and personally touching.
The booklet of the CD contains the original German lyrics and its English translation.
By the way, all those involved in the production of the CD have decided to use pseudonyms.
