John Kutkowski, a name synonymous with music and sound innovation, stands as a testament to a lifelong passion that has driven his remarkable journey. Born during "The Beatles" invasion of America, John's affinity for music ignited an unwavering commitment to sonic exploration. Graduating with a degree in Business Management and Audio Technology from Five-Towns College of Music in New York, John's expertise blossomed. His voyage into the realm of music took a new course when he became the lead guitarist for the hard-rock sensation "Lace." Touring the West Coast for two exhilarating years, their talent captured the attention of record labels, leading to an album recorded at Avalanche Recording in Denver, Colorado, produced by Jimmy Waldo of Yngwie Malmsteen's Alcatraz. Returning to Long Island, NY, John founded Underground Recording, where he closely collaborated with Rock, New Wave, Punk, and early Metal bands. His studio boasted the rare Fairlight Recording System, attracting luminaries like The Go Go's and Grammy-winning New Age music pioneer Steven Halpern, for whom John served as a recording engineer and MIDI programmer. Beyond music, John's ingenuity extended to commercial projects. His collaboration with Alphasonics International in 1987 led to the creation of their first subliminal tapes, a venture that continues to thrive. Today, John resides in Northern Pennsylvania, nestled near Scranton, where he established Artist Works Recording in 2014. Producing around 5-6 albums annually, John's ardor for the craft remains unbridled. With Mix Desire Studio, he now extends his expertise online, ensuring that his journey through sound continues to enrich the sonic landscapes of artists around the world. |
