Benedict Harris-Hayes, the multi-talented mastermind behind the Oceanica project, announces the release of the mesmerizing video for 'Lumière', a song from the forthcoming album 'Panta Rhei'. This captivating video heralds the impending launch of the album, a deeply personal project conceived and realized during the height of pandemic lockdowns. 'Panta Rhei', Greek for 'everything flows', perfectly encapsulates the album's mood and message. Life and time move on inexorably, and sometimes, we simply have to ride the rapids of our experiences, holding on tight to get through. This album is a testament to that sentiment, a genuine snapshot of the creator's mindset, moods, and feelings during a challenging period. Largely heavier than Oceanica's 2019 debut, 'Panta Rhei' sees Harris-Hayes employ down-tuned guitars, throbbing bass, technical percussion, and a wide range of vocal techniques. As with Oceanica's first album, all aspects of 'Panta Rhei' were handled solely by Harris-Hayes, a testament to his skill and dedication. "I 'technically' finished the album in late 2021, yet I put it on the back burner because I just couldn't get in the right headspace to finish it," Harris-Hayes admits. "It had a certain 'menace' to it that I didn’t want to deal with, especially on top of some personal issues and all the pandemic madness." However, upon revisiting the tracks roughly two years later, Harris-Hayes realized the importance of releasing this cathartic snapshot of a challenging period. This album, he says, is for "whoever needs it."
