Introducing PARALELUM, the story of an alternative project that evolved into the primary musical and creative focus for all its members. Defined by their powerful sound and intricate compositions, PARALELUM's music reflects various emotional states while embracing a fusion with visceral rock. The band, consisting of Diego Perela (vocals), Sebastián Comesaña (guitar), Javier Pérez (bass), and Juan Marín (drums), works tirelessly to energize and refine their music, culminating in a distinct and potent sound. To understand PARALELUM's musical identity, one must explore their diverse influences, ranging from classic metal and hardcore to the alternative rock and metal of the '90s and early 2000s. These influences seamlessly blend to create a truly unique and captivating live experience. In 2015, they released their debut EP, "While You Sleep…", which they brought to the stage extensively over the following two years. On August 18, 2018, their first full-length album, "Under the Roots," was released. Their promotional tour for this album began in February 2020 but was abruptly halted due to the pandemic. Undeterred, PARALELUM entered Moba Studios with Sergio Molina and the Moba Crew to complete their latest creation. The result was "BAD THOUGHTS" (Lady Stone Records 2021), a dark and powerful follow-up album that reflects the challenging times in which it was conceived. This release showcases the band's evolution, retaining the visceral sound of its predecessor while incorporating greater emphasis on melodies and arrangements. "BAD THOUGHTS" received widespread acclaim upon its release in late 2021, appearing on various best album lists from specialized media and websites such as EME: El Metal en España and Rock 4 Spain. Currently (2023), PARALELUM is in the midst of a promotional tour for "BAD THOUGHTS," having performed throughout the northern part of the peninsula with plans to expand their tour dates to more cities across the country. Don't miss the opportunity to experience PARALELUM's electrifying sound live as they continue their journey, and be sure to check out their latest work on Spotify and their "Bad Thoughts" music video on YouTube. |
