Heavy psych-doom outfit GRIN is set to release their highly anticipated new EP, “Black Nothingness”, on April 7th via The Lasting Dose Records. The band, consisting of power couple Jan and Sabine Oberg (Earth Ship / Slowshine), has just unveiled their second single, “Gatekeeper”, accompanied by a music video available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BosgSIOBpw. Pre-orders for “Black Nothingness” are now live at https://thelastingdoserecords.bandcamp.com/album/grin-black-nothingness. Fans of Conan, Weedeater, and Electric Wizard will appreciate the band's characteristic heavy drum and bass sound that has been a driving force behind their music since their 2018 debut album, Revenant. “Black Nothingness” showcases a collection of six short compositions, staying true to GRIN's essence while exploring new territories through the driving force of their recognizable drum and bass sound. The EP invites listeners to partake in another bedazzling odyssey through the astral plane and beyond. GRIN's discography, including Revenant (2018), Translucent Blades (2020), and Phantom Knocks (2022), demonstrates their evolution as a band, with each release solidifying their sludgy psychedelic doom metal sound. Recorded in Jan Oberg’s own Hidden Planet Studio, “Black Nothingness” continues to unravel the thread of GRIN's psychedelic mythology. “Black Nothingness” Tracklist: Nothingness Gatekeeper Midnight Blue Sorrow The Tempest Of Time Talons Deathbringers GRIN is excited to announce upcoming shows:
