German death metal legends Crack Up have reissued their classic debut album "Blood Is Life", originally released in 1996, along with their debut demo "Forsaken Dreams" as a bonus. Out now under MDD Records, the album features haunting tracks like "Unburden" and "Fading Away" that cemented their place in the underground scene of the nineties.
Crack Up, the death metal band hailing from Hünxe, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, will release their debut album "Blood is Life" under MDD Records on April 28th, 2023. The album, originally released in 1996, received critical acclaim and brought the band to the biggest festival stages in Europe. Now, the long-out-of-print album has been reissued along with their debut demo "Forsaken Dreams" as a bonus. A remaster was avoided to preserve the original production's spirit, but the artwork was reworked. The album features ten tracks with a running time of 58:56 minutes. Crack Up's line-up includes Dirk Oschatz on guitars and vocals, Tim Schnetgöke on vocals and bass, Frank Schlinkert on drums and vocals, and Helvin Pour on guitars. The band has been an influential part of the German death metal underground since their formation in the early nineties. |
