GRATA International Belarus specialists made a report in the Mogilev region development agency project "Exporter's School"

On April 2022, traditionally, the Export Center of the Mogilev region hosted the "Exporter's School". The aim of this program is to provide regional representatives of small and medium-sized businesses with the knowledge necessary to perform export activities.

Specialists of GRATA International, Belarus Maria Azarova (Associate), and Polina Sachava (Junior Associate), performed as speakers in the Legal support of export activities module with the review of the most practice-oriented points:

  • Legal regulation of currency transactions.
  • The procedure for conducting currency transactions.
  • Currency and foreign trade contracts. Essential terms of currency contracts and foreign trade contracts.
  • Adjustment of the currency contract in accordance with the legislation. The algorithm of revision of currency contracts.
  • Legal support of the execution of currency contracts. Repatriation of currency assets.
  • Issues of registration of currency contracts on the web portal of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.


Bolormaa Volodya, Partner of GRATA International Mongolia law firm was one of judges’ panel on students conference in English: “International Business Transactions”

On April 16, 2022, Department of Private Law of the Law school of National University of Mongolia held a Student Research Conference on “International Business Transactions: Governing Law, and Dispute Settlement Issues” dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the University.


The conference was organized with two phases. The professors of the department of Private law of Law school have evaluated the students’ research works and selected papers to be presented and discussed at the second phase. Out of total selected research papers, three best presentation and one very interesting presentation were awarded with the prize.

The panel of judges included representatives of several well-known law firms. Bolormaa Volodya, Partner and Director of GRATA International Mongolia law firm one of judges’ panel.

At the end of the conference, Bolormaa Volodya, the Partner and Director of GRATA International Mongolia law firm has received the “Gratitude Letter” from the Law School, National University of Mongolia.

Zhandarbek Ramazan, Counsel of GRATA International spoke at the working group on legal issues

On May 4, 2022, an online meeting of the working group on legal issues of CCI France-Kazakhstan was held, where Zhandarbek Ramazan, Counsel of GRATA International spoke on the topic: "Novelty, introduction of the Administrative Procedure Code and six months' results".

During the event, the following issues were discussed:

  • APPC - the consequences of the introduction into force (introduced from July 1, 2021);
  • Administrative procedure;
  • Administrative Proceeding;
  • Practical aspects (statistics for half a year).

Natalia Zhuk and Polina Sachava were the speakers of the law anti-crisis forum "Restart-2022"

On April 29, 2022, within the Anti-crisis forum of lawyers "Restart-2022" Natalia Zhuk, Counsel of GRATA International and Polina Sachava, Specialist in contract law of GRATA International, Belarus, covered the issues of working with foreign counterparties under sanctions.

Experts of GRATA International, Belarus performed on the following topics:

  • Modification and termination of the contract with a non-resident counterparty in the current realities. The possibility of termination of the contract on the basis of a public authority's act
  • Recommendations on legal support of the execution of currency contracts (what actions shall be taken by a lawyer if the repatriation period expires, and money has not been received from a non-resident; how to prolong the repatriation period; what are the ways of termination of the repatriation obligation, etc.). Features of execution at the present time.


GRATA International Belarus organized an online webinar for the Probusiness club about doing business in Uzbekistan

On April 27, 2022, experts of the Belarusian and Uzbek offices of GRATA International held an online webinar for members of the ProBusiness club on the topic "Doing business in Uzbekistan".

Nodir Yuldashev, Partner of GRATA International Uzbekistan, and Rustam Akramov, Counsel, Head of the commercial practice of GRATA International Uzbekistan, reviewed the issues of the legal aspects of company registration in Uzbekistan, opening a bank account for legal entities and individuals; answered questions on taxation of residents: general taxes and the right to use the simplified taxation system (STS). Special attention was paid to reviewing preferential regimes of Uzbekistan: IT-PARK, free economic zones, free industrial zones and small industrial zones.
