GRATA International holds the online conference: Specifics of concluding a license agreement

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the upcoming conference: ‘Specifics of concluding a license agreement in the Following Countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan’, which will be held on 30 September 2021 in an online format.

GRATA International and CCIFK will hold the next online meeting on legal issues

Vyacheslav Khorovskiy, Managing Partner of GRATA International took part at the Russian Speaking Legal Professionals’ Forum

Russian Speaking Legal Professionals' Forum was held on September 2, 2021 in Moscow.  The Forum addressed on the “Interplay Between Russian and English Law in International Disputes”. The conference set to bring together top legal professionals from Russia and England including a contingent of Queen’s Counsel barristers.

GRATA International spoke as one of the conference sponsors, represented by Vyacheslav Khorovskiy, Managing Partner of the Moscow office spoke on the “English Law with a Kazakh twist, dispute resolution at the AIFC” topic which highlighted such issues as:

GRATA International  took part in webinars at CCIFK and EUROBAK

On September 2, 202,  Kamila Urazalina, Senior Associate of GRATA International spoke on: "Customs regulation of e-commerce" at the CCI France-Kazakhstan and the European Business Association of Kazakhstan. 

The meeting was addressed the following issues:

- changes to the EEU Customs Code;

- the pilot project of the EEC regarding imported goods of foreign trade;

- customs administration of e-commerce goods;

- issues of customs value and compliance with prohibitions and restrictions applicable to e-commerce goods.

Askar Konysbayev, Partner of GRATA International took part in Uzbek Arbitration Week


On September 6-10, 2021 Uzbek Arbitration Week by the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

Askar Konysbayev, Partner of GRATA International Kazakhstan took part in round table discussion at the panel session: Force Majeure, Hardship and the Pandemic Fuelled Disputes: Expect the Unexpected.

Askar has contributed to the book "Force Majeure and Hardship in the Central Asia Region".  A detailed questionnaire provides a through overview of how concepts of force majeure and hardship are legally conceptualized in Central Asian countries, what the legal consequences for the contracting parties are, what the notice requirements are, and the remedies that may be available.

GRATA Mongolia held the webinar: Introduction of the Revised Labor Code of Mongolia

On September 20, 2021, the webinar on: "Introduction of the Revised Labor Code of Mongolia" jointly with the German-Mongolian Business Association (DMUV) was held.

The speakers were Bolormaa Volodya, Partner and Buyanjargal Tungalag, Associate of GRATA Mongolia, addressing the following issues:
