GRATA International holds the online conference: Specifics of concluding a license agreement

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the upcoming conference: ‘Specifics of concluding a license agreement in the Following Countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan’, which will be held on 30 September 2021 in an online format.

The purpose of our conference is to tell you about the concept of a license agreement, its conclusion features, as well as about a license agreement in the area of online games and the features of transferring intellectual property rights under license agreements.

The conference will cover two panel sessions:

The first session will be held in Russian and moderated by Dmitry Viltovsky, Managing Partner, GRATA Belarus.

The second session will be held in English and moderated by Sofia Roinishvili, Partner, GRATA Georgia.

Gulnur Nurkeeva became a science and legal expert of the "Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

We are pleased to announce that Gulnur Nurkeeva, Partner, Head of GRATA International China Office, became a science and legal expert of the "Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan" of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the purpose to conduct scientific legal expertise on projects of legislations on specializations of civil law, investment law, commercial law, and private international law.

In connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Improving Rulemaking", a new model of scientific legal expertise was introduced.

In order to implement this model, the Register of Experts was formed to conduct scientific legal expertise on projects of legislations and international treaties, to which the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to become a party, or on draft international treaties subject to ratification.

IFRL1000 released the third of four groups of rankings that represent IFLR1000's 31st edition which focused on identifying best firms and lawyers in financial and corporate, as well as project development practices across the globe. GRATA International held an online conference: Labeling of goods by means of identification

On July 22, 2021, the GRATA offices in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan held an international conference: Labeling of goods by means of identification.
The conference was oriented for Russian-speaking audience and moderated by Shakhrukh Usmanov, Partner, GRATA Kazakhstan, Almaty.

The conference was completed with a Q-A section, where speakers answered questions of interest to the audience.

On July 22, 2021, specialists of GRATA International, Belarus Natalia Zhuk, Counsel, and Polina Sachava, Junior Associate, took part in the online conference: «Labeling of goods by means of identification» in the countries of presence of GRATA International: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the report "Special aspects of marking goods by means of identification in Belarus":

Natalia Zhuk:

- told about the features of business entities on marking goods by means of identification,

- focused on the cases of mandatory labeling of goods under the legislation of Belarus, the obligations of business entities to enter special information into the Bank of electronic passports of goods (ePASS),

- gave a detailed comment on the procedure of actions when marking with identification means.

Polina Sachava:

- told about the procedure for working with identification tools in the company,

-  presented a step-by-step algorithm of actions of retail enterprises that sell goods subject to labeling and (or) traceability, for the implementation of electronic consignment notes.
