Belarus adopts the Code on Architectural, Urban Planning, and Construction Activities

On July 17, 2023, the President of Belarus signed the Code on Architectural, Urban Planning, and Construction Activities. This code, initiated back in 2017, was developed to systematise the norms of construction legislation. The new document replaces the provisions of Law No. 300-Z of July 5, 2004, with a similar title, and integrates the norms of several Presidential edicts and Government resolutions. The Code consists of two parts (General and Special), 28 chapters, and 128 articles.

GRATA Beijing provided a legal support for the exclusive distribution deal of a premium Chinese electric car brand ZEEKR in Kazakhstan

GRATA Beijing has successfully provided a legal support in the exclusive distribution deal of the premium brand of Chinese electric cars ZEEKR in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The right to officially service and sell ZEEKR brand intelligent electric vehicles in Kazakhstan was granted to Orbis Auto.

An exclusive distribution agreement was signed by one of the companies within Orbis Auto and the Chinese company ZEEKR Intelligent Technology.

Re-domicile to the territory of the AIFC

Re-domicile, or transfer of incorporation, allows companies to change their country of registration without the need for liquidation, asset transfer, or termination of existing contracts – in other words, to "move" from one jurisdiction (if permitted) to another. The AIFC acts stipulate that in such a case, a company retains its civil rights and obligations.

New law on public – private partnership

The new law clarifies the purpose, scope, principles, terms and understanding of public-private partnership and distinctly defines the legal framework for implementation of major infrastructure, social and economic goals of the country and the plenary powers and functions of public institutions in public-private partnerships by implementing public infrastructure and public service functions through private investment on mutually beneficial terms. Also creates a legal environment for implementing financial and budget control by improving coordination between these organizations related to the implementation of partnership projects.

Requirements for internet sites, software and information systems with recommendation technologies for users in Russia

From October 1, 2023, the requirements for Internet sites, software and information systems that use recommendation technologies - information technologies for providing information based on the collection, systematization and analysis of information related to the preferences of Internet users located on the territory of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as "information resources") come into force

The Turkmen part of the Turkmen-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on State Border Issues was approved

In order to consider issues related to determining the line of passage of the State border between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan and its designation on the spot, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution.

According to the document, the composition of the Turkmen side of the joint Turkmen-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on the issues of determining the line of the State border between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan and its marking on the spot was approved.

The Regulation for the provision of public services for the inclusion of an audit organization in the state register has been approved

In order to improve the market for audit services and simplify the procedure for providing public services, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Decree “On Approval of the Administrative Regulation for the Provision of Public Services for Inclusion of an Audit Organization in the Register of Audit Organizations” No. 387 dated August 15, 2023 (the “Resolution No. 387”).
