Lockdowns don’t save lives and Sweden is all the proof you need

By Nick Hudson

History will record Covid-induced lockdowns as the product of pseudoscientific ideology, manifestations of an unprecedented mass hysteria and drummed-up fear.

Indignation in a Polarised State

by Megan Mansell

Florida is an alternate universe, one toe dipped in each reality.

Florida is both a lockdown and a free state, where crossing invisible lines leads you either to counties governed by arbitrary rules created by power-hungry representatives with no background in disaster mitigation (hopefully no future in it either) or free townships and cities that treat their citizens as fully capable of personal risk mitigation, while providing meaningful community supports for their more vulnerable citizens. Free counties rely on neighborly behavior and an educated public, and the results speak for themselves: counties that mandate masks have had higher case numbers since October.

Reduced binding and neutralization of infection- and vaccine-induced antibodies to the B.1.351 (South African) SARS-CoV-2 variant

The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants with mutations in the spike protein is raising concerns about the efficacy of infection- or vaccine-induced antibodies to neutralize these variants. Despite reduced binding and neutralization of the South African variant, immunity is not compromised even in a petri dish. Note that natural immune protection is less reliant on systemic antibodies.

A Perspective from Western Australia

I’m saddened to hear the suffering that is going on in South Africa as well as many other places around the world.

Here in Western Australia we have it good. With our first 5 day lockdown just the other week. Totally unnecessary and an indication to me of political point scoring with the election coming up and blatant mismanaged and forced hurt and distress to many people here. In just 5 days! There were deaths here due to suicide and my own family which have members with high anxiety, struggled just for 5 days. There is blood on the hands of those involved with this craziness. No conspiracy here. Just emotionally driven decision making and narrative setting agendas to take advantage of a situation they all know they cannot turn around and admit a mistake. Saving face or call it what you will…it’s insanity. I remember Einstein’s definition of insanity about repeating a mistake deliberately, well I think we have a great real life example for that now. Pains me to see the death of science and exploitation of peoples insecurities, especially for their elderly family members.

What’s worse, there are a lot of people dying more from lockdowns and many many more will yet.
