PANDA THREADS VOL. 10 | 4 FEBRUARY 2021

This week we include the human aspect of the COVID-19 story: PANDA has been dealing in data since the start, but the reason we do it is people. To help people navigate the crisis, to help people not be fearful, to help get people out of deleterious lockdowns. This newsletter highlights humanity - the graphs will return next time.

Bridge

 Bridging the Divide

Whatever we think about lockdowns, one thing is clear. None of us want Grandma (or anyone else for that matter) to die. Whether we are pro-lockdown or anti-lockdown, we are also all fractured and afraid.

Will the Truth on COVID Restrictions Really Prevail?

By Scott W. Atlas

The consequences of the SARS2 coronavirus pandemic and its management have been enormous. Over 400,000 American deaths have been attributed to the virus; more will certainly follow.  Even after almost a year, the pandemic still paralyzes our country. Despite all efforts, there has been an undeniable failure to stop cases from rapidly escalating and preventing hospitalizations and death.

Russell Lamberti summarises the AIER article, "In the Asian Flu of 1957-58, They Rejected Lockdowns"

#Unmaskourkids

Our children are being harmed by mask-wearing: physically and psychologically.

We found that we cannot stay silent any longer, so a small group of concerned parents started an initiative we call #unmaskourkids. Our aim is to raise awareness of the science and emerging data that exists, specifically in relation to children and masks, and to sound the alarm. There are differences in the physical and physiological make-ups across the board for both children and adults. The precautionary principle says that we need to be cautious, pause, and review all evidence before jumping into a new innovation or trend which then turns out to be harmful yet our schools and Education Departments are currently ignoring this.

Our aim is to provide parents and educators with the tools to challenge this.
