Printing Update for Current SetsGood morning, Over the weekend I was forwarded an email from our distributor that stated Pokemon had oversold their latest run of Sword&Shield sets, including Vivid Voltage, Darkness Ablaze etc. Essentially boxes will not ship until mid-february for the latest print run of Vivid Voltage. I'm attaching a link to the email here: https://imgur.com/a/x3GHwVD What does this mean for you if you pre-ordered the 3rd wave of Vivid Voltage? Essentially you still always have the option to request a refund, however we will still be shipping boxes as soon as we get them. We will now be giving 20$ to spend on the site for each box that was ordered to hopefully create some good will in the community over this bad situation. Previously we offered 10$ but are doubling it since the delay was much longer than previously thought What if I want a refund instead? We understand, please email support@rcgamestcg.com with your name and order number and we can refund you same day. Why did this happen? To put it plainly: 1. More people than ever before are buying Pokemon card products, people who have never bought trading cards in their life have started buying cards and in large quantities too 2. Earlier in 2020 when the pandemic began it shifted production in the printing factories and put things on a weird release/print cycle and they're working to bring things back into alignment While normally more people buying cards is a good thing, with the strained supply we're seeing large price increases and less product to go around to the people who want it. Hopefully this will be much less of an issue in 2021 What does this mean for product going forward? New releases will still have large quantities delivered up-front as they have been in the past, however you may have already heard that Shining Fates will be delivered in waves. We have not oversold our 1st wave of Shining Fates that we are aware of, we were very conservative with our pre-order numbers in order to keep things smooth. There should be no issues for NEW sets that are pre-ordered What is RC Games going to do going forward? Going forward RC Games will no longer take pre-orders on reprints, when print waves come they will go up on the site and be sold on a first serve basis. This will hopefully avoid any and all situations like this in the future where delays hurt the community. We do not want to hold your order hostage for boxes that keep getting moved around What if I have other questions? You're always welcome to email us or submit a contact us form and someone will get back to you typically same day depending on time. Thank you for your understanding in this difficult time -Tyler |
