Happy February all!Today I just have one photo for you and the weekly headlines. Enjoy!
Top 3 Headlines:
- Based on the new US. regulations, Hauwei's now banned from not only Qualcomm's technology but also the possibility Huawei from using Intel, TSMC, or even Samsung to make in house chips.- This furthers the problems that Huawei was facing with there own "Kiren" chips because of US bans despite these chips barely using any US tech at all. It leaves Huawei in a worse position than a few years ago as even with current regulations the company is almost unable to make phones and these final regulations could kill the company entirely.- Android betas are stepping up as the new developer releases brought a lot of new change. New settings for the lockscreen appear to bring customization to the clock and its font as well as the buttons on Androids lockscreen (which is already via community ROMS). The mysterious 3d wallpaper feature has returned after being in Android 13 betas and it might be for tablets and not phones...Finally, the headline feature is a built in webcam mode for Android. The feature has been around for close to half a decade but only via 3rd party apps and it seems a webcam mode will soon be built into Android. Right now the wireless version of this isn't in betas but has been seen in ChromeOS code already so it may still come in the future. - Okay, finally we have a new phone from Vivo: the X90 & X90 Pro which is yet another series of phones bringing that impressive 1 Inch camera. Unfortunatley, it isn't quite as impressive as other phones released with that camera size and the Xiaomi 12s Ultra seems to keep its crown as the best 1-inch-camera phone (despite using the exact same IMX989 sensor from Sony). The x90 lacks in video which isn't too suprising but photos weren't superb with grainy shots, poor autofocus, and inconsistent colors. These are just based on reviews released so far, but do seem to be present accross the board. It does seem that the Zeiss optics in the camera bring out awesome depth of feild and pleasing bokeh which definelty keeps it in the game compared to a Pixel or iPhone. The phone sports a high end screen and 120w charging.
