Heya ! (If this works, hopefully your name will be there... maybe?! 👀)

Another week and despite having a short blog post, I have the usual news collection in the photo/tech world and some info on a colour profile that I just started using on my camera, so; Let's get into it!

Blog Post!

So, this week on the blog I have a short post! Just one photo in two different edits! Check that out using the link below!

A New Look

So, I mentioned in the blog post as well, I was shooting a concert last night and decided to load something called Cinestyle onto my camera. It is a colour profile that I think is somewhere between Canon Standard and Canon Log. The image is a bit flat but still has a decent amount of colour right out of camera. I LOVE THIS. The footage looks so much better with this and everything is really balanced. Highly recommendCinestyle by Technicolour.

Pixabay SFX!

So! Just under two weeks ago I added a few new SFX uploads to my Pixabay page. I totally forgot about them and just looked at the stats! Thanks so much for 2300+ listens across the three of them! Even though I haven't been able to get any photos approved, I am so happy that these were approved and in use around the internet! Check out the SFX with the 3 buttons below!

News!

-To start off this weeks news, we have news from the Xiaomi 12. This numbering system is so perfect since it follows Android! Anyway, the leak shows a Cyclops style camera module and no back display like last year??

- Microsoft has confirmed that the next version update of Windows is due to come before or in October of 2022. Windows updates may be more common now?

-A new, higher powered Raspberry Pi is coming out in desktop form... but it isn't made by Raspberry Pi. This is a $200 Raspberry Pi based desktop at a low price point. This machine is intriguing me and it is the second generation of this Turning machine.

- The next version of Wifi is coming very soon: Wifi 7!

- Display Port, what powers almost all HDMI cables made is finally coming to standardize USB-C HDMI bringing support for a cable that should have been standardized a while ago.

- The full Office Suite now supports Windows 11 theming.

- We now have more confirmation on the Pixel 6a as case manufacturer molds have leaked.

- If you are looking for Sony cameras and struggling, you are not alone. Sony is now struggling with manufacturing due to chip shortages.

- Google dropped the Pixel Drop for December bringing a plethra of bug fixes. It seems like Google Camera doesn't have any new features, sad :(, but has prompted me to upgrade Google Camera to get "improved picture quality" (or something like that). The update is a 99.13mb update on the Pixel 4a and you can see more about the new features by clicking around here.

- After yet more lawsuits, Fortnite 3rd party payments are back to being "no longer allowed". 🤦‍♂️

- Flutter (by Google) is releasing 2.8 bringing some new developer features for apps and upgrades to Android's Game Engine code.

- Android 12 scrolling screenshots now FINALLY support chrome and websites you may visit. You have noticed that in my video, I went to YT Music since not many apps support it yet.

- It is finally time to say bye to Amazon Alexa... it was a nice 25 Years???!!! Yeah, Alexa (the voice assistant) is going nowhere, but an older Alexa (Internet). Alexa Internet was a company in 1996 which later was bought in 1999 by Amazon. It is closing its gates to confuse some of us 😂.

- Google's annual year of search video has released with the most searched terms in Google. As always, incredibly well done.

- Oppo is going to be releasing their first folding phone in 5 days.

- Now, for what I think is the coolest news today: Google is Taking on Amazon. It is time for battle, and Google will be bringing their own Android Apps and optimized Android Gaming to Windows. The bigger news is that it is even going to support Windows 10 (and above). This must be the most surprising announcement Google has made in a while, considering that these things normally are leaked SUPER far ahead. I am so excited for this, and this cures my disappointment right as the Microsoft announcer said "and we partnered with Amazon..." Google has surprisingly not made a Windows app in a while and this is being done by the Google Play Games team, which we don't often hear from. There is an official 15-second video teasing it.

Welp, that is all and that last announcement still has me excited. I have been trying to get this one Android video editor on Windows (long story for why), but the bluestacks method unfortunately does not work. I can't wait!

That is all and I will see you next week! Bye!
