Dear Young People, Parents, and Serving Ones,
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will hold the 2021 Summer School of Truth online over Zoom from Wednesday August 4, 2021 through Saturday, August 7, 2021. We will also be offering an in-person hybrid option at the Dunn Loring meeting hall – we will follow up with details later. All young people entering 7th grade through 12th grade are invited to attend. Graduating seniors are also welcome to attend, either as helpers or participants. There will be three sessions per day according to the following schedule:
- Session 1 – 10 AM – 12 PM
- Session 2 – 3 PM – 5 PM
- Session 3 – 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
We will be covering Lesson Book 2: The Triune God—The Triune God and the Person and Work of Christ. We will follow up with you regarding obtaining physical copies of this book.
The deadline to register is Lord’s Day, July 4, 2021. There will be no registration fee. All details regarding the Summer School of Truth, including the registration form are available at https://sst.mayp.org. We desire to have a time focused on Christ. In order to have an enjoyable time centered on Christ and free from distractions, we have rules and guidelines that each young person should read and agree to prior to registering. Young people should bring their Bibles (Old and New Testament) and a notebook and pen to each session. The young people are encouraged to submit a design for the t-shirt by June 19, 2021. Details on the t-shirt design are provided on the SST website. One design will be chosen and details and instructions on ordering t-shirts will be provided on the SST website after the design is chosen. Each person will be responsible for placing and paying for their orders directly from the vendor and the t-shirt will be shipped to your house (the cost will be approximately $15 including shipping). T-shirts will need to be ordered by Saturday, July 10, 2021. |
